Hosting meaningful retreats and celebrations is Villa Tayrona’s specialty. Our unique, 9-bungalow layout is ideal for private groups of up to 24 people.
We are located 7 blocks (walking distance) from the Bucerias beach and 25 minutes from the PVR International Airport.
Included in your stay is a bartender/houseman, 3 housekeepers, and a maintenance person. Your host, Elly, is here to help with travel planning. Private chef, massages, and other services are arranged upon request. We love to host retreats and groups celebrating events like milestone birthdays, weddings, and more.
Enjoy the comforts of a resort from inside a colorful Mexican community. A discreet property in the middle of a charming town called Bucerias, Villa Tayrona is walking distance from tacos, the beach, shops, and more.
Renting our villa gives you private access to the 9 individual bungalows (each sleeping 2-4 people) and common spaces. Common areas include: a professional kitchen, an outdoor bar, a spacious terrace, lobby, and the spectacular pool and gardens.
Each bungalow has its own special features. Some have indoor-outdoor showers, others have direct access to the pool, and others have private terraces. Every nook was designed with intention, and filled with elevated art from across the country. Our style is best described as Modern Mexico merged with Bali-style tropical luxury.
Features and Amenities
-The Ginger Kitchen is a large, professional kitchen that our guests can use themselves or where the private chef can work her magic. There are also beautiful, fully equipped kitchens inside of 6 of the bungalows.
-Filtered drinking water is provided throughout your stay.
-Each bathroom is stocked with bath towels, pool towels, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, bath gel, and hand soap and body lotion.
-You can connect through Bluetooth to our Sonos surround-sound system to easily play your favorite playlists.
-All rooms feature smart thermostats to ensure both your comfort and sustainable AC usage.
-In our garage is a rack of extra accessories for our guests to enjoy, which include board games, beach gear, yoga mats, kitchen equipment, etc.
-Our garage fits two vehicles of average size. Street parking is safe and readily available.
Things to Know
-Our houseman, Alex ("A-Rod"), is a professional bartender and experienced concierge who can help set up additional services, mix drinks, serve food, help shop, etc. He works 5 days a week, 6 hours a day.
-Also part of our House Staff are Dulce, Angy, Reyna and Daniel, who provide complementary housekeeping services and keep the grounds, pool and common areas beautiful.
-Suggested gratuity to split between our 5-person House Staff would be around $150-200 pesos per guest per night.
-Private chef services are not included in our nightly rate. Please contact us for Chef Patricia's most updated menus and rates.
-Our neighborhood has roosters and dogs who like to communicate to one another. If you are a very light sleeper, this might not be the right space for you.
-We don’t offer laundry services in-house because there are several laundromats close to the villa. They are very affordable, offer 24-hour service, and even fold your laundry.
-The rooms do not have TVs, though there is one smart TV in the Ginger Kitchen (without cable service). All of the rooms do have high-speed WiFi.
-We are meticulous about cleanliness. Given the tropical climate and the handwoven, natural thatch material in our roofs, though, it is possible some small insects make an appearance. These are harmless and our cleaning team provides immediate support.
-The pool is not fenced in and is dangerous for small children without supervision.
-Bucerías is a walkable town and we are in a central location. There is, however, a steep hill between our property and the beach.

Local Attractions
This property is in a safe, colorful Mexican neighborhood, surrounded by taco stands, stores, ATMs, and laundry services, and restaurants. The beach, which stretches many kilometers and is safe for swimming, is a quick walk away (only 7 blocks). You can have a local experience while having easy access to all of the tourist attractions.
Bucerías is a charming beach town right in between Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita. Just 25 minutes' drive from the airport, it’s an accessible alternative to the more crowded tourist destinations.
Upon reservation, we will send you tips about getting around (including airport transportation), as well as recommendations for places to visit, things to do, and services we can help you arrange (e.g. chefs).
