Our nightly prices vary by season, but range from $1100 USD in the low season (August-September) to $1450 USD in the high season (January – March). These are ballpark prices before taxes, fees, or promotions. Prices are higher during holidays. Get precise rates by inputting your dates at the top of this page.
We offer last-minute discounts, as well as a 10% discount on reservations that last a week or longer. Booking on via our website is more affordable than renting our property through other sites like Airbnb.
If you’re able to pay the deposit via Zelle or ACH transfer instead of credit card, we can offer you a 5% discount. Contact us for more information about this option.

Please review our official cancelation policy here.
To support guests who have to cancel after their deposit is considered non-refundable, we can open up their dates on our calendar. If any of their reserved nights get rebooked, we will refund them the deposit they had paid for those nights minus any rate adjustments and fees. Since most of our reservations are made about 9 months in advance, we can’t guarantee that these nights will be rebooked if cancelling on short notice.
In the event that significant security incidents or government advisories materially affect travel to the Riviera Nayarit region, Villa Tayrona may offer guests the option to apply the Rental Deposit as a credit toward a future stay. See full terms here.
No. Whether you have one guest or 24 guests, our nightly fee is the same. You can send us your final guest list the week prior to your arrival.
Our pricing is transparent; we don’t have hidden fees. Costs not included in your rental fee that you should budget for are staff gratuities (see next FAQ), chef services if you choose them, and spending money. We do charge a “day pass” fee for outside visitors (if there are more than 24 guests on our property) to cover cleaning expenses. Please see our Guest Agreement here for all of our fine print. Also, we always recommend travel insurance, which is a separate consideration.
Leaving a tip for our team is always at your discretion and is contingent upon the service you received. As a reference point, most of our guests tip our house staff about $150-200 pesos per guest per night. At the end of your stay, we give you two envelopes for our house staff: one for Alex (whose role is so hands-on) and one for our wonderful 4-person cleaning and maintenance team. The total house staff gratuity can be split between these two envelopes however you see fit. Please note that gratuity for the chef’s team is separate consideration and is generally about 15% of the food services total. We will give you an envelope for her team at the end of your stay too. Gratuity left in cash, preferably in MXN, is ideal.
Yes. Villa Tayrona isn’t liable for trip cancellation due to natural disasters, pandemics, acts of God, or any other event beyond our control. We recommend guests purchase private trip cancellation insurance for coverage in case of such circumstances.
You can see details about our chef services here.
Any installments toward your rental fee in MXN cash receive a 10% discount. Since most of our guests are not located in Mexico at the time of booking and therefore can’t pay the 50% rental deposit in cash, the discount typically applies to the 50% remaining balance. Exchange rate equivalencies are calculated using the website xe.com on the date of payment.
We always try to pamper our retreat leaders! Send Elly (elly@villatayrona.mx) a note for more details.
Welcoming groups in our whole villa is the heart of our business. When we have last-minute availability between groups, though, we open up our individual rooms for rent via Airbnb (see our listings here). If you have rented the whole villa and want to come early or stay late, contact us directly to inquire about availability.
